Washington NH Operation of Off Highway Utility Vehicles

Washington NH allows the use of properly equipped UTV’s  on all class 5 and Class 6 roads, which means most roads with the exception of Route 31.  Please see the attached town ordinance.

ATVs are currently only allowed on class 6 roads (non-maintained town roads) and select portions of Valley Road along Highland lake.  The area ATV‘s are allowed on Valley Road is clearly marked  and  posted with a 10MPH speed limit.  You  can  not  ride  on  the majority of  Valley  Road  on  ATV’s.

We  are  working  with  the  town  on  a  color  coded  map  that  will  be  available  in  the  near  furure   showing  designated  UTV  and  ATV ride  areas.   As  a  first  year  club there  are  a  number  of  tasks we  need  to  address  and  appreciate  your  patience  as  we  work  to  establish   the  club  and  meet  and  the  rules  and  regulations.    We  also  appreciate  the  positive  feedback  and  ideas  that  will  help  us  expand  the  club  moving  forward.
